Yes, you will need to have your own padlock in order to access our storage units. This is a security measure to ensure that only you or authorised individuals have access to your storage space. In fact we only need one week’s notice to cancel your self storage contract!

To open a contract for one of our storage units, we require the following documents, which should be presented in person for verification.
Photo ID: You can provide any one of the following as a valid form of photo identification:

UK or EU passport
Full driving licence
Official identity card
Proof of Address: We also need one document that serves as proof of your current address, and it must be dated within the last three months. You can choose from the following options:
Council tax bill
Bank statement
Paid utility bill
Tenancy agreement
By presenting one document from each category it allows us to verify your identity and address, ensuring the security of your contract and providing you with access to our storage units. For our outdoor units, we offer 24 hour access. For our indoor units, your access will need to align with our opening hours. Our opening hours are as follows:

Adlington:
Monday to Friday: 8am-6pm
Saturday: 9am-4pm
Sunday: 10am-2pm

Kendal:
Monday to Friday: 8:30am-5:30pm
Saturday: 9am-4pm

Getting your goods to us is convenient and flexible. You have three options: you can personally bring your items, arrange for a removal company to transport them, or take advantage of our free local collection service (distance dependent). We aim to make the process as accessible and stress-free as possible to suit your needs.
Our storage units have a height of 2.4 meters, which is equivalent to 8 feet. This generous height provides ample space to accommodate various items, making it suitable for storing everything from furniture to boxes and more.

You can book through our website, on the phone, or in person. All you need to do is choose the unit you require and make your reservation. We will need to see a form of I.D upon arrival and we require four weeks’ payment in advance.

For safety and security reasons, there are specific items that cannot be stored in our units. These include, but are not limited to:

Each storage container is waterproof, sealed, and provides high security. Situated in a floodlit yard with a concrete surface and spacious parking, the area is monitored by 24-hour CCTV and access is granted through a gate with personal fob entry control.

Yes, we offer archive storage. We understand that keeping archives safe is vital, and off-site storage is a necessity for businesses. Because of this, we provide individually locked units that can only be accessed by members of your organisation who you provide with an entry fob.
